David practised for over thirty years with Ince & Co, an international law firm in the City of London, handling a wide range of maritime and offshore energy disputes. His practice had a particular - but not exclusive - focus on Europe, the US Gulf, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region. David’s experience extends from commercial ships, superyachts and military vessels to floating production units and drilling rigs.

In April 2011, David became wholly independent of his former firm and is now a full-time arbitrator and CEDR-accredited mediator with Arbitrators at 10 Fleet Street. He accepts appointments as sole or co-arbitrator (including as chair).

David is a member of the following: IBA (Arbitration Committee, Oil and Gas Law Committee, Maritime and Transport Law Committee); Panel of International Arbitrators of KCAB (Korean Commercial Arbitration Board) International; LCIA European Users’ Council; Oil & Gas Arbitration Club; Energy Institute.
