Appointing Parties are asked to note that whilst Full and Aspiring Full Members of the LMAA have been assessed by the Committee of the Association against the qualifying criteria for those categories of membership, Supporting Members Prepared to Accept Appointments are self-elected from the Association’s Supporting Membership.
Supporting Members are asked to note that in any arbitration in which they are appointed or acting under the LMAA Terms & Procedures as arbitrators, they are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the Association’s Advice on Ethics as published on the Association’s website: https://lmaa.london/advice-on-ethics/. The Committee of the Association may decline or revoke membership where there are reasonable grounds to conclude that there has been a breach of the Advice on Ethics or conduct which would be damaging to the reputation of the Association.
