The Association is sad to report the death of Ian Kinnell KC on 3 November 2024. He was 81.

Ian was one of our most distinguished colleagues – a senior Full Member and before that a Queen’s Counsel at 7 King’s Bench Walk. He was also a Recorder.

Ian became a Supporting Member of the LMAA in 1977 and a Full Member and a full-time arbitrator in 1991. He was as gregarious as he was knowledgeable, feisty and fun. He didn’t take any nonsense.
