The Twenty Second International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators (ICMA XXII) will take place in Dubai, UAE on 5 – 10 November 2023.
Proposals to present papers at ICMA XXII are accordingly now invited. A list of suggested categories of topics, guidelines and template for papers submission can be found here: Read more. However, papers on any subject matter relevant to the practice of maritime law and maritime arbitration, of either a procedural or substantive nature, are welcome.
Papers will be presented in both plenary and parallel sessions, each made up of a panel of speakers.
Speakers will be invited from the international maritime and arbitration community to present, at plenary sessions, papers on subject matters of significant general interest.
Papers presented in parallel sessions will be those dealing with more specialised subject matter than those presented in the plenary sessions.
Each speaker will be allocated approximately 15 minutes to present the most interesting aspect of his/her paper, intended to generate lively discussion amongst the speakers, panel members and fellow delegates.
Those wishing to present papers are requested to submit a summary of no more than 250 words in the format attached by 18 March 2023 online using the below link:

Notification of acceptance of papers will be sent by email, together with information as to required format and layout of the paper to be submitted, by 9 June 2023.
Papers selected for presentation will then be required to be submitted by 18 August 2023.
