  • The Committee is pleased to announce that, after consultation with Full Members and the Supporting Members Liaison Committees, revised Terms and Procedures have been finalised.
  • On 27 November 2020, the much-anticipated judgment of the Supreme Court in Halliburton v Chubb regarding the test for disclosure by arbitrators of overlapping arbitral appointments with one common party, and apparent bias, was handed down. 
  • In cooperation with Professor Martin Davies of Tulane U Law School, this free academic/research website has been launched and has currently collected together some 400 hundred judgements made by 10 Chinese maritime courts since 2014.
  • The Commercial Court Users’ Committee asked Lord Mance to investigate the question of appeals from arbitration awards.
