The Arbitration Act 2025 entered into force in full on 1 August 2025.

The Association is sad to report the passing of William (Bill) Robertson on 12 June 2025, following a short illness.

During the 2025 London International Dispute Week, the Association co-hosted a discussion with colleagues from Stephenson Harwood LLP and Twenty Essex Chambers on dispute resolution in the renewable sector.

Registration is now open for the International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators (ICMA XXIII) to be held in Singapore in March 2026

The Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) has published a General Licence, allowing for the payment of arbitrators’ fees in references involving persons or entities subject to the Russian asset freeze sanctions.
